Michael A. Oshin is a researcher at two of the South African universities. He is also a Mozilla representative (regional representative).
As a Mozillian, he hacks the Mozilla codebase to create innovative solutions. He developed the TransferHTTP Firefox extension (transferhttp.mozdev.org), which led to WebRTC (a browser-to-browser mechanism that is now being standardized). He is also a technical evangelist for Mozilla. He currently finds and fixes bugs for FirefoxOS.

I know Michael through his efforts to localize Firefox into Yoruba and his Reps efforts within South Africa.
Michael is an active Mozilla Rep who organizes events in Africa. He is also a part of the Firefox OS Tablet Contributor Program, and has filed some gaia bugs.
Michael is always working hard to push the Mozilla brand and products in South Africa and is first to sign up to take part, and organize, events all over Africa.
Michael has been an active Mozillian and a local Rep for over 3 years that I have been working with him.
