Community Engagement Manager

Bio

Born in Cali, Colombia, raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida! Reborn as a FL Gator in 2005 and once again in 2013 as a Mozillian!

Upon graduating from the University of Florida, with a degree in Public Relations, I started working in Advertising & Marketing at Zimmerman Advertising.

I was later discovered by Nobox, a digital/social marketing agency based out of Miami and long-time partner of Mozilla. I immediately began assisting with Mozilla projects but it wasn't until 2013 that I hit the ground running with the Firefox OS global launch initiatives, where I began working directly with the Mozilla Community Engagement team, and was adopted into the Mozilla family 100% (you know... LDAP and all)! Woot!

In April 2014, I was presented with an amazing opportunity to come in as the Community Engagement Managers' backfill while she is on maternity leave.

Today, I'm serving as a Community Engagement Manager, striving to make an impact on the project and hoping to stay on the team for the long run!

Key focus areas: General Community Engagement, Word of Mouth Marketing via Mozilla supporters, Firefox OS Community Generated Marketing, Firefox Student Ambassadors

To date, it's been the biggest honor to work with such an incredible group of people from around the world. The global collaboration at Mozilla is astonishing and inspiring and I hope to be here, working alongside these amazing Mozillians, for years to come!
