Michael A. Oshin (Ph.D)


Michael A. Oshin is a researcher at two of the South African universities. He is also a Mozilla representative (regional representative).

As a Mozillian, he hacks the Mozilla codebase to create innovative solutions. He developed the TransferHTTP Firefox extension (, which led to WebRTC (a browser-to-browser mechanism that is now being standardized). He is also a technical evangelist for Mozilla. He currently finds and fixes bugs for FirefoxOS.
